Brief
The City of Los Angeles is focused on providing a permanent supportive housing goal for the homeless. The goal for the this project is to complete over 10,000 new permanent housing units through the city within the next 10 years. Homelessness is at a crisis level and the Mayor is determined to address the issue through initiatives that will include a simpler format for developers to receiving funding commitments, reduce approval time and work to reduce the high cost of developing permanent housing for the homeless. Additionally, a project program for the individual housing units that meets the City of LA requirements for permanent housing needs to be included.

Uni_Pod is a modular system that is adaptive into different shapes of any given site.
Conventional Type-5 construction wall panels.
Wall types are interchangeable according to personal needs.
Uni_Pod is collapsable for a higher transportation efficiency.
The dimension of Uni_Pod will be used as a universal grid on a site and dictates how Uni_Pod would be deployed and stacked.
Uni_Pod is highly integrative for different needs of unit mix. Interior walls can be taken away in order to make a bigger unit.
Kinetic facade is a device being plug-in on top of building parapet. Fins can be changed into different colors of patterns and hence can be used as a sponsorship billboard that can improve the economic sustainability as a non-profit supportive housing project.
